Core Values Animated Explainer
What we did
The Brief
BakeAway were looking to introduce their brand new core values to their workforce in an engaging and accessible manner. Given that a significant portion of their employees are not native English speakers, it was critical to ensure the video’s clarity. For this, the best choice was an animated explainer video. It was important that the BakeAway brand colours, illustrations and assets were used to create our look and feel throughout the video.
The Edit
For most animated explainer projects, the process begins with a voiceover script. In this case, BakeAway provided a draft. We contributed creative guidance to refine the script, ensuring it flowed smoothly without losing the audience’s interest. After finalising the script, we presented BakeAway with a range of voiceover artists from which to select. The next step was storyboarding. At this stage, images were fully illustrated to give our client a sense of the visual style, though the images remained static with annotations explaining our intentions for the animation phase. With the storyboard complete, we added music and the voiceover to gain a clear vision for the video’s direction.
With the storyboard approved, we proceeded to animation. This phase involved animating the illustrations, focusing on seamless transitions between scenes and clear communication of the message. The finishing touch is the sound design! We LOVE sound design on animation projects. It’s that extra layer of quality that truly provides the audience with a captivating experience.
The Result
In the end, we have a fantastic contemporary animated explainer that perfectly encapsulates BakeAways new core values that they will use throughout their business.
